Anyone have the "AMD+Directx 8.1 bug" patch?

I'm looking for it... or waiting the the next SP1 beta/final.. when is the next one coming, hopefully, that fix will be in it.

(I don't think i could ask microsoft for the patch when i have SP1 beta installed)

hmmm.... i wonder if XP SP1 next leak/release will install if i have dx 9 beta..

edit: i guess i'll try installing since i found a directx uninstaller for 2k and xp..

Dude you are right! I read the giants game on gaming forum and decide to give it another chance... it keeps crashing. With dx9 beta, it works flawlessly!

i found a dll on the net called "d3d8.dll". Is that the fix for the bug?
