Crash Override is an unknown quantity at this point

Houston I have a problem with my 1.7 celeron

Well I got a free 1.7 celeron from intel so I picked up a 9100IGP mobo from Asus and decided to put it together.

Now this board has NO overclocking features whatsoever so its not possible for me to have a jumper wrong or anything of the sort.

Anyhoo on boot it is only picking up the celeron as a 800MHz CPU

I currently have Windows finishing an install hoping it will pick up the CPUs correct speed.

Any ideas guys?

Edit -

Just checked system info now that XP is up and running and according to XP it is at 1.7GHz so Im lost as to why BIOS is misreporting the speed

peroni is on a distinguished road

Well today Asus released a new bios for your board so you might get lucky (assuming your board is a P4R800-VM)
ftp://ftp2.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/s.../P4RVM1002.zip
