Another screen option

Just a quick question if someone can tell me if this works or not.
I realized i can connect a tv via a rca or s video lead to work it and even split the screen with my monitor and tv. Now i know you can get video card that have 2 sockets for another monitor but is it posibble to have a lead from the video card either a svido or rca that changes to a monitor plug so you can use it as a second monitor on the other output of the card.

Hope i make sense but i wanted ot know if oyu can exploit the other comnnectors for the tv to output to a second monitor.
