Intel waits for 64-Bit Software?
An article over at, Yahoo! Finance News hints of Intel's future plans for 64-Bit on their mainstream Pentium line of processors.

"You can be fairly confident that when there is software from an application and operating system standpoint that we'll be there," Otellini said, responding to a question about 64-bit technology, in an interview with a Wall Street analyst that was broadcast over the Web.
Some speculate Microsoft have been "waiting" for Intel to reveal plans for 64-Bit before moving forward with Windows XP 64-Bit, hopefully with Intel now "waiting" for Microsoft to bring a 64-Bit OS, things will begin to shape.

I, too, thought it a bit puzzling that Intel seems set to wait on the software.
