P4P800 more Ram = other Timings ?

Hello,

today I got my new 2nd pair of TwinMos Twister PC3200-CL2

Specifications are:

DRAM CAS# Latency [2.0 Clocks]
DRAM RAS# Precharge [3 Clocks]
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay [3 Clocks]
DRAM Precharge Delay [8 Clocks]

The following problem occoured, after put them in my P4P800-Deluxe (Bios v1016) with already 2x 512 MB of the same RAM's in it ...

The old Twisters were able to run 2-3-3-6 settings manually set ... after I raised the amount of memory to 4x 512 (all same) the system got unstable. I tried different settings and found out, the most stable with 2GB (4x 512) is now the SPD setting which is set by system to 2.5-3-3-8.

The stange thing about is ... my memory throughput (read/write) in AIDA32 or Sandra Benchmarks are slightly higher than before ...

Is it normal, you have to slow down the timings with 4 banks in use instead of 2 .. or can anybody explain me, what is happening ?

It's faster, it's stable, but the timings are slower then before ???
