??? Do such things exist?...and other questions..

I'm asking this stuff for my brother.....

1) Is there a such thing as a wireless connector that will plug into a port on a normal (wired) router that could be used with a laptop PC for wireless internet access? Names ? Links?

2) Is there a such thing as a USB to LAN type of connector so a USB harddrive could just be connected to a router directly and our home network PC's could access it without the USB drive going through a PC? Names? Links?

3) Is there a such thing as an MP3 player that will access a USB harddrive without needing a PC? Names? Links?

4) What are some more PC component sites that are as respectable as Newegg?

That's all.....

Thanks

FluffyChicken is on a distinguished road

1) It's called an Access Point (AP), It's like adding a switch/hub into it, but this time it's wireless.
D-Link, Netgear, Linksys do them. Goto their websites
try http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=223 or http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=292

2) Yes there is USB to LAN connectors.
For what you want to do though, I doubt it.
but you can buy this http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=283

3) dunno

4)Could tell you UK ones, but that'll be no help
