WMP player can not play real files. So it's not possible. Just use Media player classic it can.

Cause classic aint made by Microsoft. I think Zoom player can as well, I'm a big fan of Zoom, but WMP Classic would probably be better for you.

How do I get classic to play real files? Or do I have to download it or whatever?

I think you need to have realplayer actually installed first.

I like the new realplayer. It's way less hasslesome than before. Itunes is starting to piss me off.

Yeah but try to convince anyone else that. They'll install stupid spyware up the butt, but they fear and loathe realplayer, even though they're finally turning around.

Wait, lemmie get this straight, realplayer has no spy/adware/other startup crap anymore? I mean, even quicktime had some stupid startup thing that I had to kill, and yea, Itunes installed a ton of shitty crap that I coudlent kill, I hate Itunes.

That's right, it's good now. They're making a big turn around to try and get people to buy mp3s from them. And guess what? Their mp3s sound better than Itunes, Itunes are encoded at 128k, Realplayers are at 192k and yes it's the same codec.

True, the new realplayer isn't so bad. I was avoiding installing it for a long time, but then I had a file that needed it, so I downloaded the newest version and installed it. Really much less annoying than the previous versions.

Yes but the whole problem is the "ultra" embeded (hard coded into the program it self) spyware that it uses tracking the the website you go, files you play, your ip adress times dates etc and send it to program maker...

there is a wmp pug in it's called real alternative don't use he real player unless you enjoy being spied on

Given the companys history I wouldn't trust them even with those options. They've simply burnt so many users for a long time. It's also a good thing to let them feel it by avoiding their products whenever possible, and with Real Alternative around it is not too hard to do.
