Default Post Multiple RAID controlers?

I seem to be collecting HDD's at a frightening rate. MP3's, DIVX's etc.
At present I run an "old" KA7 with 3 PCI Highpoint RAID cards plugged in. No problems, it works great (you wanna 12 disk RAID 0 ). Only two drives are in RAID 0, the rest are JBOD.

Thing is, I'm toying with the idea of going dual cpu. And those boards only have 3 ordinary pci slots, so LAN, Sound and 1 RAID card. So I need to think about new controlers.
Now I can't find anywhere any reference to using multiple controlers together. I was thinking of the Highpoint 404 4channel job (8 disks). If I can get a board with on board LAN, I can have 2 of those and that should sort me for a while (16 drives potentialy).

Even if I don't go dual I was thinking of 1 of those and a board with on board RAID.

I have proved multiple Highpoint HP 370/372 chips work together, does anyone know if the same applies for the HPT 374, or 374 & 372 together.

I know I can get Promise 66mhz/64bit 2channel (4 disk) cards but they are seriously pricey compared to the Highpoint 2 channel and they still leave me short so I would need a Highpoint card in the system as well.

I tried mailing Highpoint tech but got no response, Promise got back to me and confirmed two of their cards will be OK with each other.

Anyone??

Technically there's no reason why it wouldn't work

The only caveat would be the hardware/drivers conflicting - but thats the case with ALL hardware
