Default Post You mean there is no PHYSICAL problems with the disk, right?

That there is an actual problem with how the data was laid down/burnt to the disk, not that there was a scratch or something on the disk...right?

If it's a scratch I know of ways to fix it, if it's a problem with the burn I think you've got yourself another conversational coaster....

Default Post If it really is a CD-RW...

...you can always re-burn it. That's what most software packages assume you will do if you encounter an error. If it's physically damaged, see DW's answer...

What drive do you have and what's the CD-RW's brand?

I had some old 2x Princo CD-RW - they seem a little unstable in moder drives, even those which are reasonably competent at handling 2x media.

You may be able to erase - or if the main program cannot, try to find a tool called "superblank" - it makes less of a fuss, and effectively throws an erase command at the drive without asking too much about the disk to trip it up
