but you have all seemingly taken this post i made as an error by myself it's not my cpu with the broken pin!!!!!


the pics i have posted is of an older cpu i have lying around. talk about chinese whispers!!!!!

Hey Johny is it possible the broken pin is in the socket? Could explain why the CPU works fine with a "missing" pin. Otherwise like I forget who said, if it ain't broke don't fix it, especially hardware wise on a CPU.

The pin in question is A22 marked as reserved "used by Intel for testing only".

The lack of the A22 pin will cause no functional issues.

thanks alot for this pdf info on the cpu,i tried searching myself but could not find it.my m8 will be happy about that as he has only had the cpu for a couple of weeks.
