Yes, softmod, I don´t know how it burnt, I had it at 378/270 totally stable, and suddenly, it just began to smell burnt and soon the screen disappeared

Fantasma,

sorry to hear about your card
i still own a hercules prophet 9500 pro & must say that i had some
quite amusing moments with it.

out of curiosity,
would it be able for you to post a pic of the burnt card?
maybe someone here can still be of help after looking at it

WHAT KIND OF VOODOO 3? 3000? AGP? with the massive heatsink... what Bios version... memory?.... i want a old voodoo 3 3000 agp.... i missed mine..... 220+mhz on both the memory and core..... damn... that thing would pull in a damn good 2000 3dmarks in 01se and just over the 5000 in 2000... (with an older duron 700 and ram)

About my 9500 pro, I´ll see if I can post a pic but there is one of the black chips in the rear zone, just burnt, there is a circled mark and I have tried it again to put in the mobo but all I get is squares in the screen and a smell of chip burnt.

About the voodoo, it´s a voodoo3 2000 AGP with 16Mb and 143Mhz, in my 1800+ got more than 2500 in 3dmark2001, very near to 3000, this card was serving me during at least 3 years, and about the heatsink is a small black one, nothing in particular, ah, also it´s updated with the last bios, the 2.15.11SD if I remember well. Also very bad overclocker, I think that I got 160Mhz, maybe with a better cooling, it could be better

not bad score...... boy... those rare voodoo 3000 ... if you could find an overclocker that aloud past 220mhz... you could push em to 230-240 without changing the cooling on them..... they are sweet....

Happy ending
I emailed sapphire about this and they said to me that all sapphire products had 2 years of warranty, unfortunately, my reseller only gave me 1 year of warranty, so he didn´t want to rma it so I had to send it to UK, and yesterday, the new card arrived, I had to pay for sending it and taking it back but now I´m happy. The card I have received is a 9500np which, as the card I had, is moddable to pro but now instead of having the crappy etrontech 3.3ns memory (couldn´t be overclocked), it has a memory called HYD (????) 3.6ns. My new card, according to Ati tool, can be overclocked from 275/270 to 400/320 which is pretty much.

I was lucky at the end
