Where is Windows XP Service Pack 1 Official release

I just got off the phone with Microsoft and they do not know anything. I have read in places that Service Pack 1 was to be released on August 28, 2002. I wish that they would hurry up and get it ready. My machine needs it to fix my issues.

may i ask.. what's the problem that you need sp1 to fix it ?

The will Have an updated WHQL for my videocard. Check it out here. Major flaw

I do not like using beta drivers because of instabilities.
