Help with CD-R

So I'm trying to burn this CD that my friend lent me, right? But the cd doesn't have enough room, and I can't find a CD-R that has more than 700 MB. What should I do? What can I do? (Doesn't Johnny Cash say that?).

I hope this thread is fine, I just can't find a big enough CD, I looked all over.

You can try to enable overburn in Nero, maybe that helps.

Yes, use Nero and overburn it, use data verifacation too. Remember a CD can hold over 700MB of data as long as its track length isn't over 80mins, and vise versa.

Providing your burner supports overburn. Not all of them do.

True but, most, if not all, modern drives support it.

Haven't had much luck burning more than 750mb on a 700mb cdr myself. The stupid 800mb disks are pretty rare in my area too

Ugh, it's an hour and 10 minutes long though. It's Guns N' Roses greatest hits album.

So, it's 70minutes, is it a CD Extra? audio CD with data. If so, you could just extract the tracks as wavs and burn them.

The files on the CD are already wavs - same quality.

Thats 612.5 megabytes will fit on any disc, check there isnt a data file in there. If you cant do a direct CD copy - extract all the songs you want to high qualty MP3 (256+) to your hard drive then reburn.

if it's 79 minutes, you'll need an 80 min CD-R . . . .
or you can just drop 1 or 2 songs

depending on the settings used on the burner app, you may need to reduce the gaps between tracks
