XMS v1.1 is this good ram or the slower ram?

http://www.corsairmicro.com/corsair/...56a-3200c2.pdf

CMX256A-3200C2 XMS3200 256MB 2-3-3-6 * 184 DIMM Black

* These parts support 2-3-3-6 latency on Intel platforms, and 2.5-3-3-6 latency on AMD platforms

This stick is Corsair XMS - v1.1 does the "C2" mean it is CH chips? I though all XMS v1.1 was the good chips.. or is it only the "XL" that have BH chips?

Yeah I posted in the buy/sell thread- It came along time ago- I'm going to be able to install it tomorrow or the next day.

There are a lot of different XMS versions and I was wondering if the ones I described were the BH5 chips.

I heard all v1.1 series XMS ram was BH5 chis- But I think it's only a certain version.. Someone must know out there.

BH5 chips are long gone... plus - if they were BH5 they would be doing 5-2-2-2 not 6-3-3-2

I have the same exact ram. The sticks do 229MHz with 6-2-2-2 timings and only 2.7v. They are the oldest ram I have and I wont get rid of them. They are the only hardware I haven't sold yet lol

they are version 1.1

they are older.. and used, and I might pick it up to go along with my BH-6 OCZ until I can pick up a 1 gig pair.. (a crap load of money right now) that would give me 768mb instead of my 512 and it would be fast enough to keep up with my OCZ... enough to play Farcry I think.. Cheap to.

Hey man, that's cool- are you sure you have the 3200C2 and not the CMX256A-3200, CMX256A-3200LL, or CMX256-3200XL? They are all listed in that link in my first post on the corsair page..

err- in this link http://www.corsairmicro.com/corsair/xms.html - under the XMS series- listed about 8/10 down the page and in that section they are listed at the bottom... Hope you can take a look to make sure- thanks.

Yep, they are definitely the PC3200C2 1.1 rated at 3-3-2. They are working on two years old now and newer A64 boards see it as PC2700 lol. OCs like crazy tho. Best PC3200 I've ever used which is the reason I still have them
