Default Post Will Registered ECC Ram work with /on a Unbuffered-non-Parity MoBo/ Ram Stick?

I have a stupid, yet simple question.

Im gonna be upgrading my motherboard in about 2 months to a dual Athlon MP board from MSI.

Currently tho I have a SIS 745 board from MSI. But need to buy memory for it now.

Will ECC Registered RAM ( one made for the dual MP boards ) work on my SIS 745 board?? With already a Unbuffered; Non- Parity Ram stick in there aswell?

Thanks, and any info greatly appreciated!

Have you tried MSI or your mobo manual?

This may help: http://support.crucial.com/scripts/c...fered%20memory

I believe they do have to be 'paired' & the new board should support either, in pairs. I think.
