When downloading speeds will always start high and drop down a bit. But your speeds are excellent for what you have. It seems there is no cap on your line to be hitting speeds like that...dont complain and make them notice it lol

Download speed changes depends where the server is located that you are downloading from, and it is normal for download speed goes from high to low.
I'm using Comcast cable with SB4100 Motorolla cable modem, my download speed is from 300~600KBS when I download stuff from servers within US (using flash get), but the speed drops down and stays @ 400KBS most of the time. |

problem was that the previous person to install our stuff had put in multiple spliters (instead of say using a 4 way splitter.. he used 3 2 way spliters not to mention another 3 way spliter near the modem to connect up an additional 2 tvs and the cable modem itself.)..... i had bought about 50 bucks worth of cable for connecting some stuff... the guy walked in... took a look at some stuff.. went to rip stuff apart... went to go unhook the cable i bought from the cable modem and ended up within 2 seconds... just taking his snipps and slicing through my 20-30 buck cable i just recently bought..... and he refused to fix it... was kinda upset at first as i was wondering what the deal..... as it turns out... IF you have SHAW internet.. don't buy any spliters yourself.. or cable... or anything.... they provide this EXCELLENT RG-11 (extremely excellent cable)... with some seriously excellent connectors..... and they provide zero db loss splitters FREE... the come to your house FREE... do everything FREE.... you want more cable for gaud knows what reason.... phone em up and have em come out... they'll hand it to you... you want 10 feet.... you got it.. i asked if i could get 100 feet... he said yes.... but you also said that were the hell am i going with a 100 feet? (he was gonna install it)..... they are willing to spit out whatever amount that would be needed for any job... if i wanted the guy could have put 2 cable connections in EVERY room....
