slight problem here...I am currenty formatting my new comp, and was attempting to install windows on my old computer for my brother. He put a different HDD in there (a 60gb hdd that had one pin bent a tiny bit...i bent it back into place), and a wireless card. upon hitting the power switch...no signal gets to the monitor. I've tried having the hdd disconnected, using both the 5900 in it and the onboard video...no avail..the monitor just blinks it's orange light.
what could've happened?!?! how can i fix this? |

Is the video card in right? Are the jumpers on the hard drive correct? I hope you're not having the problem that I just had!

there may be a connection missing on the pci connector on the card - or one of them may be shorting out, stopping the mobo from booting correctly
check the slot and check the card - if there are any of the gold connections missing from the card, look closer and make sure they are missing on purpose and not broken off |

it's a linksys. My bro is home, and he finished installing the OS. It could just be a problem for the setup...Though Im not sure because we havent tried installing the card yet.
