not enough resources?
i cant install any of my display drivers....and the reason is because i look under the device manager, and beside "cpu to agp controller" it has an exclamation point. it states in it's properties that it does not have enough system resources to run, and that if I want to use it I need to disable something else. Im not quite sure what to do here...this comp is starting to make me mad...it seems like it just wants to have problems.
on top of that, it is reading my keyboard as a 84-key keyboard (when it is not), and it has also switched all of the keys around. never seen this before when i hit shift+2, it gives me "...and when I hit shift+' it gives me @...also, instead of backslash, it now does #..and shift+3 does £.confusing the crap out of me...i put all of the regional settings on united states, but obivously something is out of whack. plz help! |

ok, thanks to the info on that site, i believe i have found the problem. windows wasnt installed for the ACPI settings...it was just under MPS Uniprocessor PC or something like that...it said on the windows website that that meant there was no ACPI installed...so Im currently reinstalling windows.
Just makes me think about all the stuff that had been wrong, because I tried to update the bios on my mobo with the windows tool asus makes...but it wouldnt let me...it always failed. |

Check your bios to see if ACP or ACPI (1.2 or 1.4) is enabled... Perferably 1.4 would be best..... you are right... ACPI being off tends to leave new current machines struggling for resources.....
