VGA Silencer Rev 3 - ramsink clearance?

I'm looking to get a VGA Silencer to slap on to a 9800 Pro 256 but i'm hearing conflicting numbers on how much clearance there actually is to fit ramsinks with the Silencer installed.

According to this review:
http://www.ocfaq.com/reviews/ArcticC...Silencer_Rev3/

The clearance is 17mm.

However, according to the measurement specs provided by FrozenCPU's website, the maximum height of components on the card should be 15mm (2mm off).

Unfortunately, that number also is contradicted by a friend of mine who works at FrozenCPU and took measurements at their stock room and says that the distance between the GPU contact and the rest of the Silencer is .5 inches or 12.7mm.

So does anyone actually have a VGA Silencer installed and can tell me:

1) Whether or not you have ramsinks installed, and if so, which ones.
2) What the actual measurement is of the clearance to fit a ramsink (in theory, whats the height of the tallest ramsink I can fit?)

Donator
It will clear the stock ramsinks that come on most 256mb 9800's but it wont clear any aftermarket ramsinks. The smallest I've seen are the tweakmonster sinks and even they are not small enough

I have these LxWxH 16.5mm x 13.5mm x 9mm on my 9500 pro and still have alot of room

figure 15mm total... becouse you also have to figure in that the ram chip, adhasive wil add hight and reduce clearence space

mine are 9mm tall and could add another 1/2 to that i'd be right at making contact, So i'd guess max hight heatsink to be at 14mm... just to be safe.... take a look...

Thanks a lot, for all the replies.

The Vantec ones I was interested in but for some reason FrozenCPU has them listed as 19mm high?
