Pissed help me boot my computer

Hello. I just resently built my first system. Here's what it consists of:

AMD barton 2600+
ABIT KD7 mobo
2 GB PC2700 ddrram
ATI Radeon 9700 pro 128MB
Adaptec 3200S SCSI RAID controller /w 32 mb ram
(3) 9.1GB Quantum Atlas 10K II SCSI drives
(2) 18.9GB Quantum Atlas III SCSI drives
120GB Maxtor 7.2k IDE drive

I am having a few different problems. First off, when I have the SCSI controller plugged in, the monitor won't turn on. However if i remove the card i can boot to the IDE drive fine. The SCSI card is designed for a 64 bit PCI slot, but is suppose to work in 32 bit slots fine. I would try to flash the bios on the SCSI card but i cant get into it . That is my first and most major problem, as i have spent a lot of money on those drives, and SCSI controller.

The other problem i am having is everytime i turn on the computer i get an error stating "Unworkable CPU or invalid settings, Check Soft Menu" or something like that"

any of you guys have any insight on my troubles?

Guidoo is on a distinguished road

Actuallly your first problem to solve is your cpu/bios settings...

Until you get those right your system will be unstable thus contributing to other problems.
Take the manual that came with your mobo and you should find a guide to the bios settings.

I would recomend that until you get the bios setup you not add the scsi contoller .'

You may need to update the kd7 bios to use the 2600 chip. The latest version was released on
april 2003, ver DN.

Make sure your Scsi card is not next to the Agp slot, check the Scsi card and make sure it is seated properly. I had to tripple check mine these 64 bit cards are a pain in the a$$ when going in a 32bit slot. If booting to scsi make sure you set that in your bios.
