Ripping MP3s
My friend just got a jukebox zen and is kind of not so computer literate. He needs a free mp3 ripping solution that will put track and album information and stuff automatically. Also it doesn't have to be the best like LAME encoding, but yeah, not something that's complete trash please, I'll be linking him to this thread for info. I'd show him myself but I don't have my computer and promised not to install more than I needed on this computer.

CDEX is the program i would recommend for that…
unless he wants to go WMA (the creative players support WMA don't they?) then WMP 9/10 would be my recomendation EDIT: with wma9… at 64kbps is equivalent to mp3 @ 128… less space used

CDex or EAC. I prefer EAC, but it is harder to use...because you have to download your own encoder DLLs.

CDEX supports the downloading of your own encoder dlls. I only downloaded the updated ogg ones, since I've pretty much stopped using mp3 completely.

Ultimate in Lazy
I bought the InterVideo plug-in for WMP for $9.99 downloaded. I use EAC for crucial stuff, but to load up my MP3 player, etc, WMP works really nicely.
rasta p.s. It's here.
