Another Monitor Question

I am guessing this is my monitor... i get these black lines that just happen to appear... they are straight acrossed the screen... i should take a screenshot to see if its system or monitor. Heh but when i turn my monitor off then back on they disapear... Any ideas? I have a i have no clue monitor i just forgot im at school so ant see it but i believe its a philips 17"

sounds like the tube is coming out of whack...i dont have enough experience with these things to know, however.

how many black lines.. it's is similare to say interlacing.. (every other pixel down or across is a black line being formed)....it could be quite a few things.. little bit more discription might be needed... btw.. you running any form of extention?

aight... it is just 1 black line straight acrossed the screen either 1 or 2 pixels in height... its just a small black line that will appear randomly on the screen... havent had more than 1 at a time
