D-Link 624 Can anyone teach me how to use Port Triggering please.

Hello.. i just bought a DI-624 cos my 704p died on me yesterday.. and someone has mentioned that i can use port triggering to make life a lil bit easier to deal with programs and games that require alot of ports..
here is a screen shot of what it looks like so far..

Isn't it possible to use port triggering for each program instead of using virtual servers for each port?

The last part of that is for Pandora Tomorrow and the readme instructions are this

Problems with Firewalls
If you have a firewall on your Internet connection, the following ports should be open (consult your firewall documentation):
TCP 40000 to 43000 included
UDP 44000 in input/output
UDP 45000 in input/output
UDP 45001 in input/output
UDP 7776 in input/output
UDP 8888 in input/output
As you can see.. i dont think i can make tcp 40000-43000 since there is a limit in V.S

Help anyone!
thanx
Paul

System Specs

http://support.dlink.com/techtool/di.../adv_appl.html - a dry run of the control system

The way it works, is that an appropriate outgoing port, acts as a signal to open the lionked incoming port ranges - no use at all if the the application does not hold an outgoing port open.

If you have a good software firewall, using the DMZ is another option, to expose one PC as if it was directly connected - other PCs can only do things which are NAT routable, such as web brosing and PASV-mode FTP.

Special Applications
Some applications require multiple connections, such as Internet gaming, video conferencing, Internet telephony and others. These applications have difficulties working through NAT (Network Address Translation). If you need to run applications that require multiple connections, specify the port normally associated with an application in the "Trigger Port" field, select the protocol type as TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) or UDP (User Datagram Protocol), then enter the public ports associated with the trigger port to open them for inbound traffic. At the bottom of the screen, there are already defined well-known special applications. To use them, click on the edit icon and enable the service.
Name - This is the name referencing the special application.
Trigger Port - This is the port used to trigger the application. It can be either a single port or a range of ports.
Trigger Type - This is the protocol used to trigger the special application.
Public Port - This is the port number on the WAN side that will be used to access the application. You may define a single port or a range of ports. You can use a comma to add multiple ports or port ranges.
Public Type - This is the protocol used for the special application. (since you can only spcify one set of ranges, if both TCP and UDP are used, you'll have to set "both", though this does not distinguish between opening them for TCP or UDP)
