Well, my viewsonic CRT monitor is getting blurry in the middle of my screen at its max res of 1280 x 1024. It is far less blurry if I turn my refresh rate to 60Hz, but then I get eye aches from staring at my screen
So... it looks like it is finally time to buy myself a LCD monitor. After alittle bit of searching, I've come across sooooo freaking many 17" LCDs it's not funny. Added to my headache are all those specifications I have to compare ...I've been unable to find a review site that has reviewed a good balanced gaming/photo LCD monitor. Sure I've learned alot, but I am being overwhelmed Does anyone have a good recommendation on an LCD that is fairly affordable ($350 - $450 range) and will give me good results with gaming and digital artwork? I would love to see what the community uses...Thanks in advance |

It'll be hard to find an LCD monitor for gaming. A CRT monitor is best for when it comes to gaming. However, if you still insist on an LCD monitor and you'll be playing games on it. Get an LCD monitor that has a reponse time of under 20 Mili sec., preferably one of 15 Mili sec. Anything higher than that and you'll get what is known as "ghosting" when playing games. Ghosting if you haven't already read/know about it is where the previous frame(s) overlap the new frame(s) so you get a ghost effect.
