exclamation blue-sceen memory dump

My bro has this machine and every time he installs, reinstalls or just uses the machine, a blue screen will pop up and start a memory dump. What could be causing this. He even uninstalled and reinstalled Win Xp Pro.

could be many things. what does the blue screen say? is he overclocking? does he have adequate cooling fans? good power supply? all cables and cards and cpu and ram plugged in well? damaged cables perhaps? etc

One of my sons had a problem like that a few months ago. We did a Memory Test and found he had a bad stick of memory. Replaced it and the problem stopped.

Donator
general advice

Reinstalling Windows to get rid of a virus?
first turn of your machine for 5 min's (flipping out the battery is also good idea, do remember to set options in bios again)
then use a write protected Win-startup floppy, type fdisk /mbr esc & turn off computer
restart with floppy
then format C: /U (or where your OS is/was)
turn of computer again for a min.
install OS

edit forgot something
