Sound Stutter in Game

I read about this somewhere but now I can't find my answer

. In Doom 3 I get sound stutter in some of the heavy graphics areas.I have gotten this in FarCry too. Anyone remeber how to fix this? I know I saw it somewhere....

System Specs:
2500+ OCed to 3000+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev 2 (Using on board sound)
1GB Corsair TwinX Matched RAM
ATI 9800 Pro (410/360)

Defrag your hard drive, often its an issue of your comp not being able to read out the sound files fast enough from your hard drive.

I also highly advise that you make sure your audio card and video card aren't sharing an IRQ. In fact, they should each be on their own IRQ with nothing else sharing with them.
