Cas 1.5?
I didn't know you could even set a CAS latency of 1.5 .... i always thought 2.0 was as low as you could technically get it.. i was wrong..

and to top it off.... boy, if you can get 1.5 running... the results are pretty damn impressive.. the preformance you boost you get is like going from cas 3.0 to cas 2.0... (almost)...

Anyone able to run 1.5?

AFAIK, there's only a few kinds of Samsung ram cabable of running CAS 1.5 at any speeds.

Even my PC-3500 OCZ Platinum ram can't do CAS 1.5, even if I clock everything down to PC-2700.

ah... my board does indeed support it.... i just never ran anything lower then 2.5 before.... i picked up some Vdata 2.5cas @ 200mhz (PC3200) with the tightest settings and it was solid at 2.5 running 166mhz... so i turned it down to cas 2.0... work flawlessy.... then i tried cas 1.5 and ran memtest boot from cd and it didn't show an error.... did a few benchmarks... and i'm more then impressed....

it just says VData on it... (with a neato little sticker)... no heat spreaders or nothing really.... Packaged by Azen... got it from futureshop for to much money.. (208 bucks after taxes without warranty other then the manufaturers lifetime)

Better off running @400mhz and higher cas with 1/1 divisor. Run your FSB as high as you can in sync with the ram, forget about cas 1.5.

.... can't get it any higher.... bus Ration doesn't allow it.. old KT400 Chipset.... still.. EXCELLENT results.... one hell of a powerful mobo that i will soon have to pass down to someone else....

Most ram can not run cas 1.5 though. I've got many different sticks of ram, and only the 1 samsung stick that I have will run at cas 1.5, regardless of any other settings.

I'm pretty sure that my RAM would run 1.5 but I've never been able to test. I have Geil RAM at 2-2-2-11. Its pretty fast ram and pretty rock solid actually. Unfortunatly my board doesnt support 1.5

Like I said, the speed of the ram doesn't really matter, most sticks simply do not support it. I can run my OCZ ram at 2-2-2-5 at PC-3500 speeds, and still can't reach cas 1.5 at any speeds.

The lowest timings i've seen on DDR 2 (Corsair XMS 675/5400) was 4-4-4-12. Timing were pathetic, but i was like "Wow.....ddr 675/5400"
