AGP Lock

What exactly is the best setting with an asus p4c800-e deluxe with a radeon 9800 pro. i over clock pretty well about 430/390 ish. I forget what my clocks are. What is the best lock speed? thanks

AGP lock is for locking the AGP bus speed, usu at 66MHz, so you can overclock your FSB higher.
It has nothing to do with oc'ing your graphics card.

Default is best, which is 66mhz.

I know that vampy i was just wondering, if i lock the bus low w/ high speeds on my gfx card would it be like putting 2 liters through a 1 liter hose?

Old thread I know, but I was playing with nTune and it's auto config bumped by agp bus to 77mhz. I am scared to death to launch anything graphical at this, and between searching here and googling I can't find any reason why it would bump this? What ever the heck it did, including the agp bus bump, has increased my clock by ~200mhz and temps are the same..Wasn't stable at these clocks when I set them myself via bios..HT link @ 912, mem @ 378, memory timings still tras7 tcdr3 trp3 which is pretty decent seeing as it's only pc2700..Any dangers to runing the agp clock so high out of spec? Yes my beloved radeon is overclocked, which worries me even more in this situation. I'd appreciate any feedback..

can't you set your AGP back to 66 ?
