Default Post Western digital WD800 JB

I recently got one of these drives along with the 120 gig version and I really just have to say that these drives are just incredible.

im not going to quote benchmarks as there are hundreds available on the net, but you can imagine my surprise when I copied the UT2003 demo (100 meg+) from the 80 gig to the 120 gig in around 1.5 secs.... insane speed. Both set as primaries on individual channels of course.

Its the first time ive seen my SCSI raid given a run for its money!

I'm building a new computer for a friend and it's got one of the 80gig ones. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! I've never seen performance like this from IDE ever, now how do we get maxtor to make an ATA133 version?

Default Post It's IDE?

Will it work well on my CUSL2-C and whatever AMD board I pick up to replace it soon? (What should I look for?) It sounds too sweet to resist!

Cool, I've been hearing nothing but good things about them. I'll wait and checkout the DH store prices before I look into one. Hope it's up soon
