I have the ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe MoBo and the Corsair XMS DDR-400 RAM and a Audigy2 Platinum soundcard that's coming back from Alienware.{I am up-grading my Area-51}...Along with that...A Kingwin mid-tower case.Intel{Northwood}3.2GHz Proc.1 WD Raptor.1 Plextor DVD Burner.nVidia 6800 GeForce GT video card.I am tring to build a mid-grade gaming system.What else do I need????....Thanks!...And I allready have a copy of WinXP.

new power supply?

you might want another HDD for storage

yeah you will want a good sized HDD w/ a 8mb cache, some arctic silver 3 or 5 or artic ceramique for a thermal compound to apply the hs onto the cpu. maybe an extra cd rom drive if you burn DVDs. Sound card and speakers?floppy drive?

Whats the deal with this thermal compound???I know what it does,but name brands????Artic Silver???Is that a name brand???,,,3 or 5...Whats up with that????

arctic silver is the name brand, 3 and 5 are the idfferent types along with ceramique

for someone just learning i recommend 3 or ceramique as they dont have any electircal conductivity as 5 you have to be careful with. they are easy to apply if you follow directions
