Heatsinks & Fan's...???????
I have done alot of reading on this and all I know is a heatsink with lot's of copper is supposed to be best. How about some brand names and info. guys???One will be on a P-4EE at 3.4GHz{Prescott} & one will be on a P-4 3.2GHz{Northwood}.By the way,is 3.2GHz as high as the Northwood goes? And 1 more thing. The P-4EE i am getting installed in my Area-51 will come with the factory heatsink & fan allready attached{I guess you knew that}Is it hard to put a new heatsink and fan on???...Again,,,thanks.

no... it's nice and easy heatsink removal/attachment...
the best HSFs seem to be the Thermalright SP94s at the moment... for both chips. you can get 3.4GHz Northwoods. As for the P4EE/Prescott - which is it? they are two completely different chips. P4 "EE" = Galatin = 2mb Cache = 0.13Micron - runs only a little hotter than a northy P4 "E" = Prescott = 1mb Cache = 0.09micron (I think - not sure on the micron used) - runs v. hot then there's the P4 "C" = Northwood = 0.5mb cache = 0.13 micron - coolest runner of the bunch |

sp 94 and the xp120s both have reviews but ive seen a few about the xp120s that say it beats the sp94 both made by thermalright of course... paired with a high CFM fan you can OC or paired with a low CFM silent fan i guess you can game in peace

if u want the best u need to look at thermalright. u have the sp-94 and the XP-120. one is all copper and one is all aluminum. but the XP-120 is huge and can not be fitted on all motherboards.
