Another MOBO/Memory ?
Can you use Dual Channel 1024MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz Memory ( 2 x 512MB ) in a mobo that supports 3 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 3GB un-buffered ECC and non-ECC PC3200/PC2700 / PC2100 DDR SDRAM memory ?

Yes, you should definitely be able to. You dont need a dual channel capable board to use a dual channel memory kit.

those "dual channel kits" are basically just two regular sticks of RAM. they can be used in any mobo, as regular RAM.

I had assumed that I could run the "dual channel" in my single channel MOBO, this way I get 2 512mb hand-me-down sticks from a friend upgrading his ram. Thanks for the replies

nothing wrong with running 1gb of damn good ram in a computer...... btw, the dual channel performance increase is negilable on an AMD system enless the FSB is been pushed sky high.... but intell chips REALLY love the extra bandwidth..
Just think though... you may end up moving to a dual channel board in the future... now your future proofed (somewhat)
