Help : Internet Connection Is Wonky
I just moved to college and had access to high speed for the first time. I access the internet through a router upstairs (dlink I beleive). Upon installation everything was fine, so I shut down my computer and went home for the weekend. When I came back a message came up saying that "You have a network cable unplugged". I tried the test ping 127.0.0.1 and it reported that it was fine. Then, in 2 days time, I turned it on (I had restarted several times since then) and it was working again! So I hastily downloaded the omega 4.9 drivers
and windows SP2. I restarted and it yet again told me that "You have a network cable unplugged". Oh and I also updated my nVidia unified driver too. My mobo is a Abit NF7-S rev 2.

try doing a connection repair...... with SP2 it should automatically attempt to repair the connection enless it clearly see it as being disconnected.... in which case..... it's a bad cable... or something messed up with the router....

Nope, it's not unplugged lol. The girl access' the internet through the same router and hers works fine. How do I run the test Judas? I've tried to repair the connection by clicking "Repair this connection" in network connections but it tells me it cannot continue because "Your network cable is unplugge".
I have LAN enabled in bios....is there any other bios settings that would effect the operation?
