Is there any way to get an old BIOS....
back when the machine will not boot to windows????I can get into the BIOS.It says"a disk read error occurred" when tring to boot.All this went on while tring to install a new BIOS.It just crapped out.

Make yourself a boot disk (floppy or cdrom) and copy the old bios image and the flasher utility onto it. Boot from that, flash back to the old one that you backed up (or go track it down on the net), and you should be good. though, you should check a fwe things first. Reset your cmos or at least load 'optimal' settings in bios and reboot. That should usually be done on flashes, to ensure the bios has everything set right.
