Default Post Logitech Z 640 not to shabby for low cost 5.1

Best Buy had just put these bad boys out and finished setting up the demo display when I walked into the store earlier today. I was very surprised at the sound, fitting in somewhere between the Z 540 bass (I think it's the same sub as the z540) and Z 560 satellites in performance. Granted this is not going to shake the walls down or smash the windows like I sometimes think the z560s could, but for most users this kind of power is not necessary for computer speakers anyway. It has hookups for both 5.1 soundcards and consoles/dvdplayers/cds. I was surprised to find that the power output was only 51 watts rms for the total system though. I swear Logitech can do a lot with a little. It is by far the very best sounding of all the sub $100.00 5.1 speaker systems I have heard thus far. Price at Best Buy and Staples was $99.95, can be found at newegg for $70.00 + $10.00 shipping. I'm personally looking forward to the more expensive Logitech 680s 5.1s coming out at the end of this month with the built in Dolby Digital & DTS decoder. :slobber:

The 5.1 680's are supposed to be in the same league as the z560s speaker/ sound wise. Check out this preview:

I do believe that will be the replacement for my Altec Lansing 251 5.1 speakers... Very nice!
