display problems
Hi, hope someone can help with this.
little while ago (few weeks) my graphics card (GF4ti4400) died, it started with strange lines of colour on the screen then it just died, still under warranty so went back to base. it was replaced with a Radeon 9200, did reformat and has been fine for a about a week, now I've got the lines of colour (mostly blue ) back, and when running games there are missing textures, odd colours (mostly blue again) etc.here's a screen of the desktop if that helps. ![]() If I reset the monitor the lines vanish then reappear after a few seconds, have tried a second monitor which was the same so dont think the problem is with the monitor. there's plenty of ventilation around the case (front, back and side) so dont believe it can be overheating, the lines appear moments after starting for first time in morning. can't understand why it would be ok for a short while (about a week) then revert back to having problems again. not installed anything when it started happening again, have reinstalled drivers, tried new/older drivers, reinstalled DirectX, tried system restore etc. could it be some other hardware problem? like motherboard? memory? thanks in advance. looks like the card may be damaged, or there is interference nearby

make sure the connections to the card are screwed in properly and that the card is seated ok....
I had something similar where my display had a pink tinge to it, turned out it was the cable from vid card to monitor - found out by moving the cable, either got beter or worse!
