vid card- X800plat or 6800gt

Hello,I am going to buy a new vid card for ever quest 2 and needed some expert advice. Should I get the nvidia 6800gt for 400.00 or just spend the xtra 100.00
on the ati X800 plat? The extra 100.00 is not to big of a deal but just wondering if its a big advantage or if it's just going to be a few extra fps. I did not put the Nvidia 500.00 one cause I dont want to take up to slots..well thanks fer any input..

The 400$ card is better... I am a total ATI fan but must say, the 6800GT is the best bang for the buck!

The XT is a few more fps than the GT in most things, but they are pretty even. The only other factor I seem to be seeing is more support issues with the 6800s, mainly driver problems that cause unwanted shimmers and the like. Im leaning towards ATI now for my next card, but I havd "decided" to get the other one about ten times, bakc and forth. However, I would get a $450 non PE atm because there is very little difference between it and an XT PE. ATI still seems to have a little better AA, but Nvidia's new HDR looks pretty promising, albeit at a very high cost to frames. If you want highest IQ, then get XT, but if your a framerate kinda person the 6800gts are more than adequate, and are still only a bit slower with everything maxxed.

well.. the Im hearing the bad things with 6800's supporting video playback support... and the fact that you have to buy the correct driver to get it to work... which is not the best move in the world... but other than that... im like the other guy... an ATi fanatic.. that doesnt have a problem recommending the 6800GT
