New Dimension XPS Gen 3 Performance

i play Far Cry, in 1024^768, highest ingame settings, trillinear, x4 AA + x8 AF. It plays fine most of the time, but in very stressfull situations my peformance does start to suffer?

AVG - 70fps Min - 21fps Max - 120fps ( using fraps on Fort level )

the average fps is fine, it's the min fps that is causing me problems.

I tried turning off AA + AF, get similar fps ( and didnt looks so good...obviously )

They were playin in much higher res of 1600x1200, with x4 AF and their min = 29 fps, which is acceptable.

Is there something wrong with my system, i expected min fps to be 30-40 fps when playin games like far cry in 1024^768?

Update drivers? 8fps doesnt seem like that big a deal to me but im jsut a construction worker.

WEll they were doing 1600x1200 no AA and the AF so that's a differrent story. Run the same settings they used and compare. Also get the latest omega drivers and the new farcry 1.3 patch then enable the shader 2.0b and geomtry instancing features for better fps/iq.
