amd64 3500 for gaming?

Hey boys and girls I was wondering if a AMD 64 3500 would be good for gaming,or should I get the 3800? Money is a little light so was thinking of the 3500.Let me know what ya think

I 7th that even thoug hyou'v made your decision. Get the new 90nm version of the 3500+ and the MSI board, some nice TCCD ram, and anXP-90 with a nice fan adn you'll be rocking,

my guess is on good cooling, your 3500+ will well surpass 3800+ anyways

i just finished building a 3500+ on a gigabyte k8ns ultra 939 for a bud we went with ocz pc 3200 platinum and a 80 gig w\d sata boy that thing flys i want one now ooooh my poor broken pocket book

Nice rigs there guys! I am thinking of getting that ballistic ram.
Another question should I use that shin etsu thermal paste aswell as the heat sink?

xp-90 is a nice HSF unit(heatsink w/ fan)

as for thermal 'goop', I HIGHLY reccomend investing in a tube of Arctic Silver 5

yeah whatever you do, get some AS3 or AS5 (AS5 is a better performer but AS3 is SOO MUCH EASIER TO USE!)

Eh, there are harder things out there. Make sure you read the directions though and record serial numbers ect. Also make sure you aren't afraid to apply some pressure, just not to much...
