Need best mouse opinion FAST (ebay auction ending)

I need to know if the Logitech MX500 is a whole lot better than the MX300, or just mildly better. I could get a MX300 for about 80% less than a MX500, so if there are only minor differences then i'd rather go cheaper.

Im switching from a plain Microsoft Optical wheelmouse, which sucks. I just want a mouse that will perform well, and I definitely don't care about extra buttons and all that crap - so if you could just give me a quick opinion/info on MX300 vs. MX500 i'd really appreciate it, the auction ends in about 30 minutes!

Yes for a number of reasons, size and buttons being the biggest. The 300 is about the size of a mouse man if you've every used one of those. It'll work fine but over all I prefer to have a mouse I can hold on to plus ergonomic.

alright, down to 14 minutes now - so the 500 is a lot better? I can see the size factor, the 300 doesn't look as comfortable as the 500, but as of right now the 300 is still at 99 cents and the 500 would cost me about $40. I'd expect the 300 to end up being about 30 or so by the end of the auction with shipping and handling, so should i go for the 500 for the extra $10?

you didn't....the 500 is much nicer....but what you should relly try and find is a 510

40 dollars? That seems a bit high, im sure you can get a better deal on a 500 or even a 510, which is much better. I bought a brand new MX900 still in box for 40, keep looking, you will find the mouse for a better price.
