ChrisAdan650 is on a distinguished road

Need mobo info!!!

I'm planning on buying an Athlon 64 3200+ 90nm Winchester cpu along with the socket 939 based Soltek "SL-K8TPro-939" VIA K8T800 Pro Chipset Motherboard. This is going to be my first custom built pc and I need help recognizing what exactly comes with the Soltek motherboard. Click on the link below to check out pictures of this motherboard and it's contents. Thanks in advance. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...180-064&depa=1

System Specs

It would apper that you have, on the back (case fitting backplate supplied):
PS/2 Keyboard/mouse, Com port, (NO LPT), 4x USB, Firewire, Ethernet and 5.1 sound

The parts kit seems to include:
Pic 3: - 2x ATA133 cables (flat), 4x SATA cables, 2x 2 way molex to Sata power cables, USB backplate cable (and you still have 2 more USB to feed a case front USB)

Pic 4: - 1x ATA133 (round), and a floppy drive cable.

Looks like the cable kit, plus a front USB on a case, is sufficient to cable ALL the capabilities - that is unusual!

I know that this was not your question... but have you considered the MSI Neo 2 Platinum? It's the best board on the market atm for socket 939... the NF3 is better than the via chipset
