Default Post Ubers new "toys" have arrived :)

Sitting on my desk right now....

ASUS P4T533 motherboard /w promise RAID
x2 256 meg Samsung 4200 RIMMs
Intel P4 2.53 - C1 stepping
Coolermaster "Silent" Heatpipe HSF

Damn - can't wait to get this lot home and fire it up!

its not cheap, but it will be one HELL of a system when you set it up (im figuring a 3 gig oc on that baby) ..... keep us posted.

Well, I can't find my Arctic Silver atm, so I'm using standard thermal hunk

I'm running about 34c idle and 40c full load.
Everthing is stock.
Remember that my Silent heat pipe HSF is primarily for being silent, not a monster HSF that allows serious overclocks.

Once I'm happy the rig is stable I'm gonna push it a bit more

Temps are taken from DigiDoc (external device), ASUS probe and MBM. Temps do vary across the devices, but not by that much

Must be nice to be able to use MBM; there isn't support for my board "yet". Your temps. make me think I should lap my Alpha too. Thinking of getting one of those Aluminum fans for mine too.
