also, why when dual channeling my memory (both corsair 512mb platinum 3200 but one is rev. 1.2 and 5.1 i think)
it's only 320mhz but when one module, it's 400mhz?

will both modules hit 400 on their own?
also, make sure in dual channel mode you have them in alternating RAM slots, such as slot 1 and 3, or 2 and 4, not next to each other

and as far as a slow BIOS, you could try updating the the newest BIOS and clearing the CMOS, aside from that, I don't think there's anythign 2 do, aside from look for a 'cahce BIOS' setting int here somewhere, that MIGHT help, but ti can be kinda risky.

if you are overclocking your cpu then make sure your mem speed is locked at 400mhz.and also lock agp bus at 66.66/33.33.and you might have to losen your mem timeings.also update your bios or atleast clear cmos and make a backup of current bios and reflash.make sure you are useing the latest version of whatever flash utillity you chose.

which bios are you useing?the ones from asus usa are about 3 months behind.which method are you useing to flash????????what exactly do you mean about your bios being slow????also if you are going to heavily overclock your fsb then you will need to lower your mem freqency to 320mhz unless you are useing presscott then the latest bios will unlock the multiplyer.if you go to http://station-drivers.com/ then you will find the latest final and betas.the latest final is 1019.04.the sit is not in english but you will get the idea.dont bother translateing cause this site dont allow.good luck

like, when moving around in the bios, it takes a while, as if it was lagging or something...=\

No heavy overclocking, stock everything...

i would try to do a bios recovery as if you had a bad flash, the manual will tell you how to set the jumpers, then reflash to the newest you can find.there should be no lag in the bios.if this dont work i would rma the board to asus and start over.good luck
