Are you using the Logitech software for the mouse of just the generic Windows drivers?

Of course i'm with the latest SetPoint drivers from logitech. The buttons work with the internet or windows explorer, they only fail in firefox. My previous mice was the mx700 and worked flawesly, kind of weird problem

Go to the SetPoint settings and set the Forward/Back buttons as generic buttons (Other -> Select Function -> Generic Button). The forward and back should still work in IE and Explorer.

System Specs

Logigamer http://www.logigamer.com/ will work with the MX1000.

He's still calling it a Beta release (2.0.8 Beta), but most folks seem to have very few, if any, problems with it. The guy has a great piece of software, and if you have problems he will try his best to help out on his forum http://forums.logigamer.com/
