the 9550XT is a 9600XT that didn't quite make the cut. if you can afford a 6600GT, do it. those things will out perform 9800 pro's with ease.

Yep, that's a nice juicy upgrade for about $200 (US) that'll open the way for your system to play all the newest games easily at 1024x768 with AA and AF on.

It's one of those "doubling of performance" things that will make a satisfying difference...

The 6600 is much faster.... depending on wich 6600 your talking about...
but then again for the price you could probubly buy a comprable ATI card

the stock 9550, 4 pixel pipes, 1 TU each, 250mhz core 400mhz memory, DX9 support, it's just an updated value class card based on the 9600 core....most of them being sold are useing 64 bit memory, but ther are 128bit versions... other then DX9 support they are = wththe 9200's . But With Proper cooling they can be GOOD LITTLE OVER CLOCKERS

the GE cube versions are clocked much higher core/memory

i'd pick the 6600 over the 9600XT anyday, the 9600XT isn't much better than your card right now. however personally i'd save a bit more and get the 6600GT.
