should i bother "upgrade my Radeon 9550XT to Geforce 6600?

the 9550XT is a 9600XT that didn't quite make the cut. if you can afford a 6600GT, do it. those things will out perform 9800 pro's with ease.

Yep, that's a nice juicy upgrade for about $200 (US) that'll open the way for your system to play all the newest games easily at 1024x768 with AA and AF on.
It's one of those "doubling of performance" things that will make a satisfying difference...

so is the Sparkle Geforce 6600 Non-GT better than my Gecube Radeon 9550XT? it's $107 just about the range of my budget, or shoud i save more for a $161 Jetway radeon 9600XT?

i'd pick the 6600 over the 9600XT anyday, the 9600XT isn't much better than your card right now. however personally i'd save a bit more and get the 6600GT.

dang! this 6600 is cheap but upgrading the mobo to support PCIExpress is expensive, makes me want to but 9800np
