Default Post Got finally my rails... do I need a new PSU???

Here are my rails: 4.87V (on 5V), 11.98V (on 12V), 3.63V (Vio), 1.49V (AGP) on Winbond Hardware Doctor ver. 2.70

On my Digital Doc 5: 4.97V (on 5V), 12.47V (on 12V)

First, why are these rails so different??????

Second, if you look at some of my posts, you'll see that I've got several problems...

Third, to Zardon, now you've got the rails you were asking for...

Thanks for any help....

Could you look at some of my other posts (u can find them easily under my profile...) I think these voltages might be the cause of some problems.......

Thanks a lot

Voltages are alway bound to change with normal pc use by as much as a point higher or lower. Hell even my cpu voltage bounce from 16-18 during use I don't think thats your problem look at my specs my psu is only a 300 right now because my 460 was bad and everything is great.

I've looked after some of my posts... My problem to start the computer (shutdown after 1 second) hasn't been resolved... rails are rather unstable (on my Digital Doc 5)... PSU problem?

Oh, do you know why the readings between my DD5 and my Winbond HW Doc are so different?

Maybe they read in different ways you never know a lot of programs that are suppossed to do the same thing give different results find a third monitor proggy and then take the average between the three and that is closer to your usual specs. BTW have you flashed your bios?

Some people swear by Antec, some swear by Enermax. So I'm saying that changing PSU's may not help

I haven't flashed my BIOS since a month ago (I think)....

I looked at the Antec Truepower PSU, but I'm not sure it's necessary to waste more money for my computer....

Why my various questions about PSUs......

When did you get your current psu? Can you take it back and tell them you think its faulty?

The differences are to be expected, programs that take voltages are usually not as correct as they should be...MBM5 reports 5.78v on my +5 v rail...while my mobo says it's more like 5.02 on the +5
