Just got a lcd, crt never again

I just got myself a Dell 17" LCD 1704fpv UltraSharp, I am never going back to a CRT again WOW! the things have an amazing picture quality it is absoulutly gorgeous, its so easy on the eyes.

Well yeah, but what about refresh rates? And the not very high resolutions?

that's the response time isn't it? and most of decent ones are now 15ms and fine for games, most lcd's can also handle 1280x1048 which is fine for most users. Just the price that needs to drop now

On the lcd's refresh rate does not matter like on crt's and most lcd are fine in games now espacially the high quality ones, and the high resolutions really dont matter for games espacially higher than 1280x1024 mainly beacause majority of our video cards cant handle the max resolutions with all the eye candy.

One reason the price is so high is because there's such a large demand for them over CRT's

i have a 22" flat crt from Dell and my father just got a 17" lcd from Dell for his new pc, and i must say, i like my monitor a lot more, not just case its bigger -_-
but because its clearer and of course, i play a lot of games. but the lcd is great if you dont play a lot of games, yes. so much lighter, plus they turn on really fast lol
