I've been waiting for a long while now, for the Nforce4 motherboards to make their appearance along with the X850s for my next computer upgrade. I've decided that since I'm making some major upgrades on my computer system, I would like to get a new computer case to put everthing in.
My current computer case. Kingwin KT 436B-WM This case listed below would have been my first choice, but at the moment it only seems to be available in Europe and would cost somewhere around $218 US dollars not including shipping, I was interested in the silver one. To expensive for me at the moment. PCICase Nitro AX Ive been looking at two other case and cannot decide which one would be best. The cases are listed below. Silverstone Temjin SST-TJ05-ST MGE CA-TITANIUM-S What I'm trying to decide is, should I keep my current case or upgrade to one of the two ones above, I really can't decide which one would be better. Any opinions or suggestions would be much appreciated. ![]() drwho

Tough choices,
I like the Titanium one, but ultimately you'll have to ask K-9 which one he prefers, since he'll be spending his time residing in it

Have you tried ebuyer (US site) - can't switch to there myself, as they've made a complete mess of the UK site navigation!
It looks like you're a silver case kind of guy... I'm more a cheap cream box man myself, and side windows are for people who can be bothered tiding the innards any more than is required to keep the cables out of the fan! On the other hand, my next case MUST have a side fan, and MUST have an 80mm rear fan point, not the piddling 60mm my current one has... side windows, no thanks - doors, how it looks with the door open matters more than with the door closed. |

First, let me say thanks to you guys for your comments and suggestions, I appreciate it. I've spent the evening looking at some reviews for the cases that I mentioned. I had some trouble finding any reviews on the MGE Quantum Titanium case, but finally managed to find a couple. I believe I'm going to order one of these cases from Xoxide.com along with a OCZ Modstream 520w PSU. I'm planning on building a new computer when and if the NForce4 motherboards come out. I'm planning on getting a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9 NForce4 Ultra motherboard along with an X850 XTPE PCI-e. I also plan to add a FX57 A64 processor when they come out also. So, again thanks for your help and suggestions.

I would look at something a bit more innovative when it comes to noise and cooling, like for instance the Antec P180 that was in the news a few days ago. ( http://www.silentpcreview.com/ ) Though it's not out on the market yet. It may not have glowing fans and such but I look over the functionality of a case several times before really considering its looks.
Must-have factors if I were to buy a new case today: 1) PSU placed on the bottom, where it doesn't have to suffer the heat coming from all other parts. 2) 120mm case fans, since such can push a good amount of air without making too much noise. 3) Either rubber-dampened drive hard drive slots or plenty of 5,25" bays to fit some other type of dampened mountings, to silent those harddrives. 4) Plenty of space for the odd size motherboard one might buy in the future, since a good case should last a while. 5) Preferably sold without a PSU, since included PSU's either tend to be rubbish or drive the price up quite a bit. |

That Antec P180 in a interesting looking case, I found something similiar to it while looking for new cases. It's called the Silentium T2 , it's a really cool looking case and is made by a company called Artic Cooling. This company is from your neck of the woods, mkk. Artic Cooling is based in Switzerland. If I can find a US reseller that carries this case, I may just buy one.

I've just gone for a coolermaster stacker. Its a huge case but the extra room is very handy for extras. Even if you dont need the extra room, its a great case to work in and makes adding components very easy.
A little pricey though |
