The AMD roadmap says Q1 2005 for the FX57. I wouldn't count on it it being this month, besides the FX55 hasn't been out all that long to begin with. If there is one thing I'm learning about waiting for new computer hardware to come out is that the companies release them when there darn good and ready and then they wait awhile longer. I considered waiting on the FX57 also, but I don't have that much patience. So, maybe in the next couple of months, probably more toward the end of February just as my own uneducated guess. Sorry, I couldn't give you anything more definite.

You already got a nice comp so I'd hold of. Personally since you seem to be loaded I'd buy the DFI NF4 SLI board, 2x512 of OCZ VX ram or some LA/LE Gskill TCCD, and a nice new FX57. FX-57 even higher clocks, and it may be a 90nm cpu, but I can't remember.

Hawg what do you do for a living to keep buying new comps?

Q1 of this year for the 57... it's going to finally be the release of the San Diego core... the one i want... it's the 90nm FX series (current FX series are 130nm)... so it's practically a winchester with a 1mb cache

same price as the FX-55 when it came out. when a new cpu comes out the older ones move down the price list.

I'm a salesperson at a very high tech. company. We deal in temp. measurement of all kinds. We have parts on the F22 Raptor, the F-15 Eagle, the B1B Lancer{I was a weapons officer on one of those a few years ago}the B-52 Stratofortress as well as many applications for the Navy also. And lots of civilian apps. too.But more than anything,God has blessed me incredably.

Have you guys tried ZipZoomFly?Most times there cheeper than NewEgg.{and I'm not talking 2 or 3 bux}I started useing them several weeks ago and I'm quite happy with them.Dont get me wrong,I still use NewEgg too.But I go with whomever has the best price. And here lately it's been ZipZoomFly.
