is there a way to get a screenshot of the POST screen?
okay so theres some error that flashes when the mobo is doing the POST. It is right after it scans the IDE channels...it shows my harddrive and my two optical drives..
then I See something about some IDE channel, an error, and the number 80(not nessesarily in that order) And its bugging me. If you guys read my CD woes in windows, you could guess that maybe these are related. Anyway is there any way I can get it to freeze so i can read it??? IT just skips over it so fast that I only get like 2 words. I hit the "halt on error" option in the BIOS as well and that didnt work either.

Have you tried pressing the pause button on your keyboard?

"No conductive wire at 80 on primary IDE"
I had swapped out the cord for the harddrive earlier on sunday. I put the old one back in and the error message goes away. guess what an interesting side effect was? My CD drives work properly now. Funny though since they arent on the same IDE channel or the same ribbon. wtf is up with that?
